Exodus: The Big Exit

We have made it through Genesis and have seen quite a bit happen. The entire universe was created in seven days; evil was introduced into the world through Adam and Eve; the earth was flooded and humanity began again with Noah; Abraham was called to leave his homeland and head towards a new land that was to be given to him and his ancestors; Abraham has a son at 100 years old named Isaac; Isaac's son Jacob wrestles with God; and finally Jacob's son Joseph is sold by his brothers into slavery in Egypt. Whew, that was a lot that we went through in just two weeks.

Now we are in Exodus! Our next section shows how God fights for His people and guides them. It shows we have a powerful God who saves His people and interacts with them. This section will have 5 readings that span about 125 years (from the birth of Moses to Joshua conquering Jericho). The topics of these 5 readings are:

1. Birth of Moses
2. The Red Sea
3. The Ten Commandments
4. The Cloud of Fire
5. The Walls of Jericho

Exodus is another of the most well known stories not just in our faith but worldwide. There is slavery, conflict, miracles, and warfare. Get ready for Exodus!
